Add information here about myself.I grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and attended Smith College, Northampton, MA where I earned a Bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in education. After college I returned to the Philadelphia area and taught 8th grade math and English at a charter school. I then taught at one of the largest and most diverse high schools in Pennsylvania where I worked for four years. While there I earned my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Neumann University. After teaching for five years and becoming frustrated with educational system, I decided to earn a Doctorate degree. My husband, dog, and I moved across the country to Los Angeles, CA where I attended the University of Southern California. After earning an Ed.D. from USC, we moved to Oakland so that my husband could pursue his Ph.D. at UC Berkeley. I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach at Berkeley High School. Beginning in the 2012 - 2013 school year I will participate in the Math for America Master Teacher Fellowship through UC Berkeley.
